Dr Peter Nicolas graduated in 2003 from The University of Melbourne and has over 20 years experience treating both private and public dental patients. He began practicing in private practice in Deer Park after graduating. Peter has also practiced in regional Victoria for several years and in 2012 opened Ascot Vale Dental. Over the years he has developed his skills in all facets of general and cosmetic dentistry. Peter especially enjoys treating children and has a very caring and gentle nature that can settle most anxious patients. More recently Peter has extended his skills with further training to now offer patients cosmetic injectables and dental implants.
Outside of work, Dr Nicolas enjoys travelling, playing golf and spending time with family and friends.
Dr Alanna Tanner (DDDS)
Dr Alanna Tanner was born and raised in Melbourne, pursuing a career in dentistry after completing a Bachelor of Science in 2008. After completing a Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Melbourne, she has worked in suburban family practice since 2014.
Dr Alanna enjoys many facets of dentistry and regularly participates in continuing education to increase her knowledge in the dental profession. Dr Alanna has completed training in orthodontics with Progressive Orthodontic Seminars and is also trained in the delivery of relative analgesia and anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers. Allana enjoys interacting with and treating patients of all ages, helping them to achieve their dream smiles.
Outside of dentistry, Allana enjoys travel, spending time with family, friends and her puggle Max.
Linda Smylie - Advanced Dental Prosthetist
Linda works in the clinic each Monday. Dental prosthetists' focus is on patient-removable prostheses, including dentures, and flexible mouth guards for sport. This may include taking impressions and records for manufacturing splints, stents, sleep apnoea or anti-snoring devices, and immediate dentures.
Emily Davies - Oral Health Therapist
Emily joined the Ascot Vale Dental team in 2021 and has since enjoyed getting to know and care for our patients. Since graduating in 2011 from The University of Melbourne, Emily has many years of experience refining her gentle, yet thorough approach. She believes a holistic health approach is important and strives to continue her learning in this area. She has a strong focus on preventative dentistry, gum health, education and caring for anxious patients.
She has always been passionate about children's oral health, and endeavours to make dental experiences fun and relaxed for all children
Emily is a busy mum to two little girls and prefers to spend weekends with family and friends. She can't live without her morning coffee and loves to escape to Sorrento when she can.
